Resumen
Prolonged sitting is a significant contributor to various health issues, including pressure ulcers, lower back pain, and circulatory disorders. This paper provides an analysis of these pathologies, examining their underlying causes, physiological impacts, and the compounding role of risk factors such as physical inactivity and poor posture. Furthermore, the study evaluates technological solutions designed to mitigate these risks. These include advanced sensor-integrated cushions and alternating pressure systems that facilitate weight redistribution to prevent tissue damage.
