Resumen

The study of the subjective well-being of entrepreneurs has gained importance in recent decades, being analyzed from the economic and psychological area to explain the factors that promote and condition it. The objective of this article is to determine the impact of personality traits and psychological capital on the well-being of Mexican entrepreneurs. To achieve this objective, a quantitative study was carried out, analyzing business entrepreneurs in a region of northern Mexico with a sample of 319 entrepreneurs. The statistical analysis was carried out using a structural equation model in PLS. The main results reveal that the personality traits that promote the subjective well-being of Mexican entrepreneurs from the north of the country are openness, conscientiousness and neuroticism, as well as psychological capital. This work provides evidence to the academic society and those linked to the business environment about the psychological characteristics that favor the well-being of entrepreneurs.
