Resumen
This paper presents the design and characterization of a optimized dual-band rectangular patch antenna for WiMAX and WiFi applications. The antenna operates at two key frequencies: 3.6 GHz and 5.4 GHz, with measured return loss of -40 dB and -53 dB, respectively. Innovative design and simulation techniques were employed using Ansys HFSS software, followed by fabrication and laboratory characterization. Despite limitations in manufacturing, the antenna demonstrated significant performance and met the required power standards for practical applications. The results highlight the potential of this antenna for implementation in WiMAX and WiFi communication systems, offering an effective solution for high-speed connectivity demands in wireless environments.
