Methodology for Energy Dispatch in Off-Grid Micro-grids Using Stochastic Analysis of NCRE

Producción científica: Capítulo del libro/informe/acta de congresoContribución de conferenciarevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

This research focuses on the implementation of an innovative methodology for energy dispatch in micro grids that operate independently from the main power grid. The proposed methodology involves using the results of stochastic analysis of NCRE as input data, which are then fed into the proposed MILP model for optimal dispatch. The novelty of this work lies in optimizing through various scenarios involving PV, wind, BESS, and SOC for energy dispatch, achieving efficient and adaptive management of NCRE across different time windows for the offgrid micro grid. By analyzing a scenario of a regular weekday and holiday over a 48 -hour window, where it is constrained that the BESS starts fully charged. The total cost given by the MILP objective function shows the lowest cost with a value of $10.031. In contrast, if the BESS starts fully discharged, the total cost within the same time window and with the same NCRE resources decreases by 31.602% for the economic dispatch of the off-grid micro grid. This verifies the importance of analyzing various scenarios with different conditions in the available NCRE resources.
