Resumen

© 2014 IEEE. In this work some basic characteristics of electrical distribution feeders such as its architecture, model, advantage and mainly the problem presented by induced over-voltages on overhead lines due to indirect lightning, is presented. As relevant data, two ways of modeling a distribution feeder JMarti and Pi models are described. Which allow analyzing and obtaining values approximate a real distribution system. This research analyzes transients caused for atmospheric discharges using the computer program Alternative Transient Program (ATP) in a distribution feeder located in southern Brazil, by analyzing their voltages in the presence of a discharge on the ground to 100 meters distance from the distribution grid, using the above models. In addition, the behavior between JMarti and Pi models of overhead lines is presented in detail, highlighting voltage variations that exist in each of the phases and at different points of the electrical grid. Different graphs of the output voltages and phase voltage values for each of the aforementioned models are presented.
