Resumen

© 2015 IEEE. ZigBee technology is a set of devices, and wireless communication standards for personal area networks, its operation is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. In this work the development of a Matlab-based software for the analysis of indoor coverage of ZigBee networks is presented. This platform is based on the equations of Cost Multi-Wall propagation model, based on this the location of end devices is analyzed for devices with routing capability such as coordinators and routers, imaging processing methods to locate infrastructure obstacles existing on the wireless link are applied. As a result the parameters of wireless link, coverage areas are obtained and the connection status of the elements of a ZigBee network is evaluated. These results will be used for the correct location of the devices on the network with respect to the infrastructure presented indifferent scenarios of ZigBee technology implementation.
