Resumen

Agile software development is a trend that is gaining more adepts. However, moving from traditional ways to develop software to agile practices could be a challenge for developers. In this article, we analyze five technology adoption models to identify the factors that may influence software developers to adopt agile methodologies. With those factors, a model was designed and evaluated with 62 software developers. As a result, it was found that the behavioral intention for adopting agile methodologies is related to the perceived ease of use, of the methodology and the voluntariness of software developers. Such intention that is neither influenced by the subjective norm exerted by the organization nor the perceived usefulness of the methodology.
