Resumen

This research explores how a technological assistance device can support workplace and teaching autonomy for a person with physical disability due to arthrogryposis. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive statistics, the subjective experience of the participant was evaluated before and after using the device. Four thematic categories were addressed through semi-structured interviews: technological access barriers, technological management with disability, accessibility management, and satisfaction with the device. The results show that the device provided greater autonomy in work and teaching tasks, saving time and interaction with students. It also contributed to improving the participant’s posture. It is concluded that appropriately implemented technological assistance devices can support the labor and educational inclusion of people with physical disabilities. Recommendations are made to adjust specific characteristics to enhance its usefulness.
