Producción científica: Capítulo del libro/informe/acta de congresoContribución de conferenciarevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

In different types of companies and in different parts of the world, the integration of ICT with product logistics management has several advantages. The overall objective of this research study is to design performance indicators to monitor logistics and product distribution in a company based on business intelligence. The methodology used was a review of the literature, observation of other models found in the articles, induction, deduction, modelling and a digital survey technique. Nineteen relevant scientific articles were included that helped answer research questions focused on transport as the most widely used logistics activity, the role of the distributor as the main participant, business intelligence as the most widely used information technology, and service improvement as the main objective pursued by research models. A three-layer model was proposed: Data Source, Processing-Storage, and Presentation, which helps obtain real data and enables decision-making and improved operations. In the survey, an average of 89% of experts agree and strongly agree that the tools, IoT devices, proposed indicators, dimensions mentioned, and table of facts are appropriate elements for the model. Experts also mentioned other indicators, dimensions, and facts that could be added to the model.
