Resumen
The following article describes the development of an algorithm to detect four representative events: acceleration, deceleration, cruising, and idling; within cycles of driving vehicles in the urban area of the city of Cuenca in real traffic circumstances. To obtain data from the actual driving operation the Freematics One+ device is used, then the freematics are analyzed and studied based on what was called actual motion microcycles. With the development of the algorithm, idealized microcycles are obtained from the actual microcycles. According to their morphology they are classified based on typologies representative of each of the idealized microcycles. After obtaining idealized microcycles, dependent variables are determined from the independent variable’s characteristic of each typology. The benefit of this project will be a critical part for further work to reduce emissions from exhaust gases and fuel consumption.
