Resumen
The application of chip implants to animals is very common in many countries. For example, in pets to help to identify and link them with their owners, or to help farmers to control their cattle and provide traceability of them during their commercialization. On the other hand, chips implants in humans have been circled by resistance; however since 2002, the interest in this area is moving beyond the laboratory to obtain an improvement in “quality of life” through health solutions, or improving “human capabilities” to increasing labor productivity. In time, some issues had raised such as privacy and security, making difficult social acceptance. In this work, a bibliometric analysis was performed to show the trend study of publications in RFID chips implants in humans. The Scopus database was used as the source of the data to be to analyze. Main results show publications distribution by years since 2005 till 2022, the most relevant sources and source titles, also the main subject areas in which publications were done, and the countries with more contributions in the area.
