Abstract
In this text I will address the way in which the media and journalism cover issues related to women; I will especially focus on issues of violence, with the purpose of identifying the new discourses, among those, the so-called "post or neo-machismo", of a global matrix that is used in a similar way in almost all cases: the journalistic genres used, the sources, images and languages that contribute to the trivialization of gender violence and social impunity, in clearly patriarchal and sexist contexts.
