Abstract
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), for every million inhabitants there are 5,000 blind and 20,000 visually impaired people, which highlights the importance of considering web accessibility in all content, especially images. This scientific article addresses the relevance of web accessibility and the promotion of inclusive and equitable education, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). The development of diagram image maps that can be employed for educational use is proposed as a solution to improve web accessibility, using two approaches: an automatic one based on the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and a manual approach using a web page. The results of the implementation of both strategies are discussed, highlighting their effectiveness in ensuring an inclusive online experience. It also uses the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) as a framework to comply with accessibility standards.
