Abstract

This text identifies some of the articulating features of the university function of university function called Linking with Society in the context of rural indigenous context of rural indigenous communities in Andean Ecuador. These These traits are configured from assumptions such as the historical option of the Salesian of the Salesian Polytechnic University for the indigenous peoples and nationalities; its humanistic nationalities; its humanist vision based on ideological freedom and the primacy of teaching; and the and the primacy of teaching; and the option for human development.
