Abstract
Currently, the field of education is deeply intertwined with modern technologies focused on enhancing and enriching the educational experience. These technologies integrate various tools that facilitate learning, foster collaboration, and support research within the Humanities domain. Today students, often regarded as digital natives, exhibit a natural affinity for technology. They thrive when engaged with real-world examples, emphasizing experiential learning over traditional rote memorization. Following the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, educators have been compelled to adapt and update their teaching methods to deliver content in an innovative manner that fosters competitiveness through the use of gamification techniques. Humanities, as an academic discipline, needs exploration as it is rooted in the study of human conditions and their cultural, social, philosophical, historical, and artistic expressions. The investigation was performed using a quantitative approach. The study population encompassed 150 participants, including high school students and their parents from an educational institution in Guayaquil, Ecuador. This population was subdivided into five distinct groups, each comprising 30 individuals. Data was collected using a Likert scale survey. The results obtained showed that the integration of active methodologies and technological tools within the Humanities area expands horizons, catalyzes societal transformation, enhances motivation, and fosters student autonomy.
