Abstract

In some countries, including Venezuela, the health system consists of public and private stakeholders that have to cooperate to provide population health. Frequently each stakeholder has its particular health record format that is incompatible with the others, when a patient move between different health stakeholders it have to create from scratch its health record every time. Also, health record aggregation for research or public health policies is a huge task. In order to solve this problem, we proposed a Electronic Health Records (EHRs) Ecosystem in which EHRs will be centralized at the national level and local replicas are kept in every stakeholder. This article is focused on six scenarios used to validate prototype feasibility, the proposed ecosystem responded satisfactorily for each of them.
