Abstract

The social relevance of the university revolves around its ontological, ethical and epistemological character according to the demands of society, so its importance and role is associated with the context where it is immersed, contributing to the necessary transformations to raise the level of people's quality of life, in such a way that their knowledge and productions have the expected positive impact. A relevant university should develop not only teaching and research projects, but also projects for linking with society, framed in learning spaces that involve professional praxis. The 21st century has been characterized by prolonging the hegemonic dominance of globalization, where the transnationalization of capital and the rise of financial networks prevail.
