Abstract

One of the purposes of this publication is to highlight the role of universities and university extension in the development processes of marginalized communities and localities. It also analyzes the importance of technology transfer in the context of university-business-society relations, which are highly topical and pertinent issues that cannot be put off, especially as local alternatives in the face of globalizing processes. The texts value the systemic integration of two essential substantive processes within the university: research and extension. They show palpable results -experiences that become case studies- and a different and no less effective way of approaching extension and these organizational practices, with the aim of introducing them into teaching. Undoubtedly, the encounters and misunderstandings of this work will enrich experiences and innovative projections for the future of universities and community development.
