Abstract

The transportation and storage sector represents an important group in Ecuador's economy; the COVID-19 pandemic and the series of restrictions affected many companies in this sector, experiencing financial impacts. The objective of the study was to analyze, using standardized techniques and tools, the financial situation of small and medium-sized companies belonging to this sector. Empirical and statistical methods were applied by analyzing the financial statements, according to the classification of economic activities registered with the Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance.
