Abstract

This paper presents the analysis of large-signal transient stability in salient pole synchronous machines (SPSM) using the ATP-EMTP tool and its graphical environment ATPDraw. The machine models were developed using programming in MODELS, and various disturbances in the power system were analyzed, such as single-phase, two-phase, and three-phase short circuits, as well as sudden load changes, to evaluate the dynamic response of the system. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of these tools in simulating and evaluating transient stability, providing valuable information for improving the design and operation of the power system.
