Abstract
The text critically analyzes the role of science and technology in today’s global society, dominated by instrumental rationality and technological determinism. It argues that technoscience, far from being neutral, has become an instrument of power that reinforces structural inequalities and perpetuates a neocolonial dependency on knowledge. Within this context transhumanism emerges, a movement seeking to transcend human limitations through biotechnological manipulation and artificial intelligence, aspiring to immortality and perfection. However, such a vision raises ethical questions regarding the limits of science and the redefinition of what it means to be human. The study proposes a hermeneutic and ethical reflection on the scope and risks of technoscientific transhumanism, emphasizing the need to distinguish genuine progress from the ideological instrumentalization of knowledge. Ultimately, it calls for a critical dialogue that ensures technology remains.
