Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

The study focuses on the toxicological effects of dioxins in Latin America, highlighting their origin in various human activities and their impact on health. An analysis of scientific literature was conducted using databases such as Google Scholar, SciELO and ScienceDirect, focusing on research published between 2018 and the present in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Brazil. The results show that dioxin exposure can cause adverse effects at different developmental stages, affecting the nervous, immune, reproductive and glandular systems. The importance of regulating dioxin-generating activities to protect the health of the Latin American population is highlighted.
