Abstract
The amount of electrical energy losses in distribution systems depends on the amount of current that flows through the conductors and their caliber; they affect the quality of energy; therefore, in this investigation, a possible solution to this problem is proposed. In the present work, a heuristic methodology is proposed for the minimization of losses in the feeders of a distribution network using a heuristic method for topological reconfiguration with the opening and closing of link switches already established in each distribution network using an algorithm. For group search, since this is a complex combinatorial problem, it is proposed to use a reconfiguration algorithm that will analyze all the possible configurations that will be subjected to power flows to obtain the state of the system. An efficient reconfiguration in distribution networks depends on the methodology to be implemented. It must comply with the restrictions such as maintaining radiality and supplying the entire load. This document provides information regarding the group search algorithm and the flow load based on backward/forward sweep in three distribution systems of 33 bars, 69 bars, and 136 bars.
