Abstract
Ecuadorian education has been undergoing a transformation for some years now, with European models serving as a successful model to be replicated in the country. One of the components used is the implementation of virtual learning environments in university classrooms, which incorporate resources for teachers to use to enhance student comprehension. Teaching and learning theories are embedded in these tools, as they help analyze student performance. This research aims to analyze virtual learning environments within the framework of information processing theories as applied in Graphic Design programs in Ecuador.
