Abstract
All these questions, together with others about the role of women, the consequences of politicization in sports, professionalization, etc., are trying to be solved with an exhaustive research work carried out by students of the second and seventh cycle of the Communication career at the Cuenca campus of the Salesian Polytechnic University, Ecuador. From October 2021 to January 2022, they undertook a systematized process of research oriented to this topic, demonstrating their research skills and the application of acquired knowledge, resulting in eight chapters presented below.
