Abstract
The problem of food in the world is not new; social movements and governments have proposed actions to solve it. One of them was the recognition of food as a right. To this end, countries are obliged to respect, protect and implement the right, that is, to seek mechanisms so that all people, especially the undernourished, have regular, permanent and free access, directly or by purchase, to quantitatively and qualitatively adequate and sufficient food, in accordance with their cultural traditions, to ensure a psychic and physical, individual and collective life free of anguish, satisfactory and dignified.
