Abstract
This research seeks to strengthen the academic foundation of the Salesian Youth Movement (mjs) applied at the Salesian Polytechnic University as a representative case of pastoral and educational reference. representative case of pastoral and educational reference. The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristics that unite the oratorian educational proposal of Don Bosco exposed through “youth groups” to the context of higher education through the Salesian Youth Association. context of higher education through the Salesian University Association (asu). For this purpose, a documentary review was carried out, based on the notions of The notions of Salesian associativity issued by the Dicastery for Youth Ministry were used to assess their link with three current institutional documents of the Salesian Polytechnic University: Navigation Charter 2019-2023, Salesian Educational Model ups 20-25 and Memoirs of the Academic Reflection Meeting 2022.Academic 2022. The potential results demonstrate that the epistemological transition from the Salesian Youth Movement (mjs) to the Salesian University Associationism (asu) is in progress. University Associationism (asu) is justified by the need to form structures that respond to contemporary social challenges demanded by digitization and the interests of by digitalization and the interests of the new generations; moreover, a binding axiomatic synchrony is evident at the identity, pedagogical, professional and sociocultural level with young people. In conclusion, it is possible to glimpse that the groups that make up the Salesian Youth Association are a reflection of the Youth Movement.
