Abstract

This research seeks to analyze the heteronormative construction that is generated in the actions developed by the characters in the film La vie d'Adèle, for this purpose a qualitative methodology is applied, with a narrative methodological design, since it analyzes the story of Adèle's life through the description of the film. Some of the results that can be observed is that society ends up judging the GLBTTI collective as abnormal people. On the other hand, the film presents social configurations in which anyone who is different should not be visible, should be left aside so as not to be judged, which reproduces and strengthens a discriminatory scheme through the audiovisual. Finally, it is concluded that the actions performed by the characters in the film are not detached from a heteronormative society, the film reproduces schemes that the system considers "normal" and "appropriate" in the performance of a woman and a man, although both are embodied by women. Therefore, the narratives cannot dissociate themselves from representing these facts, where one of them must necessarily be the "male".
