Abstract
This article in essay mode analyzes the human being as an evolutionary product, a traveler who boards the ship of time, traveling through epochs and contexts with a long trajectory until arriving to our days. The objective of this work is to show a panoramic vision of the antecedents, factors and processes of evolution and the human being as a referent of knowledge, thought and action. The work was carried out following the heuristic method that consists of finding and investigating in documents or historical sources the necessary information for the research processes; and the hermeneutic method that explains, translates and interprets the existing relationships between a fact and the context in which it occurs. The exposition is developed in four sections: the first section presents the development of evolution and exposes its precedents and factors from the philosophy of Lamarck and Darwin; the second section outlines the metaphysical thought of Klages and the historicist thought of Dilthey in the development of history; the third section exposes the actions of the human being as a product of thinking and knowing; and finally the last section presents the current reality of the human being and his challenges in the long historical-evolutionary process.
