Abstract

In this article we will analyze the work ethics that affect adults at the time of applying for a new job, in addition, the factors involved in the difficulty of getting a new job, the discrimination that is generated when hiring new staff and the consequences That leads to this situation as the increase in underemployment in Ecuador in recent years. The method used for this research was carried out in national newspapers, scientific articles, and the resources provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) with the collection of data from December 2016 to the same month of 2019, giving us information of the situation in which we live today. For this reason, in this last year, adequate employment in the country has decreased compared to the previous year, (3.8% of the population of working age), as a consequence of this situation, citizens have found another method to generate an informal employment for their families with statistics never seen before in the last 4 years. In research, people between 45 and 64 years of age are the group with the greatest difficulty in getting a new job, in some cases people are already resigning and only trying to survive with an informal job.
