Abstract
The sources of water for populations and industries usually come from the rural areas surrounding cities and most of their water bodies are contaminated. This fact requires the displacement of the catchment systems to increasingly distant areas, reducing the availability of the resource both to the inhabitants of the field for their productive activities, as well as to the wild fauna and flora of the place (Sánchez, 2016). The rural areas near the cities are those that have the greatest amount of water, but at the same time they are the ones that suffer the most thirst when supplying their needs, increasing the imbalance between supply and demand for water. In addition, the water available for human consumption in community purification systems tends to be of lower quality, which accentuates the health problems of their populations.
