Abstract
Dear reader, it is with great joy and satisfaction that we present this work to you. It is the result of a work of more than two years, dedicated and loving, which brings together research results and experiences of different researchers from Brazil and Ecuador. This book has its birth in the actions of the Research Group on Teacher Training, right to Learn and Pedagogical Practices - FORDAPP/CNPq, linked to the Professional Master's Degree in Education: teacher training for education Basic, from the University of Uberaba. In some way, the authors who give rise to the chapters that will have the opportunity to appreciate relate to said Group and/or with said Postgraduate Program in Education. They provide a rich and significant contribution to think collectively about the potential of the relationship between teaching, research and popular extension, in contemporary times, especially marked by Sars-Cov-2, which we call Covid-19. This is because social academic excellence is directly related to the fulfillment of the function of basic and higher education institutions, which requires a mutual-cooperative relationship capable of contributing to overcoming inequalities and building an education in diversity for full citizenship. Therefore, it is necessary to value university training, basic education and academic production with social commitment, placing the relationship between university and basic school at the center of the debate, which is expected to be devoid of hierarchies of knowledge, of dehumanizing practices, strongly linked to the mere transmission of knowledge, in a reproduction of social ills. In this way, this relationship can reconfigure both the university and the basic education school, to the extent that, due to the inseparability between teaching, research and popular extension, it is possible to seek, in the concrete reality, the realization of transformative practices and humanizing actions for both contexts, as seen in the chapters that make up this book. From this perspective, the objective of this work is to contribute to the debate on the importance of the bidirectional relationship between the university and basic education, in the search for the promotion of teaching, research and extension people committed to a transformative education. The set of chapters that make up the publication were oriented from three articulated axes, in order to offer elements to achieve the proposed objective. 1) Conception and social r.
