Abstract
The need to generate new materials dosage with naturals fibers has been of interest to the science of materials with the main contribution to the environment. This paper consists of the study of a dosification banana fiber in an epoxy type resin; the formula of this resin consists of an 828 lvel epoxy resin, phthalic anhydride as a crosslinking agent and the tertiary amine N, N- dimethylbenzoamine (N, N-DMBA) as a catalyst in 2%; to this formulation was added banana fiber in 7 and 15% with a certain granulometry, to subsequently perform differential analysis scan DSC in which it was observed that the dosage of resin with 7% has better thermal behavior resulting AH 201 J / g, which is lower than the dosification to 15% fiber; but this dosage at 15% has a higher crosslinking temperature of 137 °C. Subsequently, was carried out a mechanical thermodynamic analysis (DMTA) with the objective of knowing and to characterize the material viscoelastic elaborated, in this analysis were compared the results of the DMTA of the resin without dosed with the resin dosed with banana fiber; this evidenced that when adding more fiber, the slope of the storage module decreases, so it goes from a vitrous to a gummy state, as a result, the resin dosed at 7% has a less gummy state than the resin dosed at 15%.
