Abstract
This research aims to carry out an exhaustive analysis of a populationof chola women over 50 years of age from the rural area of Cuenca, Ecuador with the objectiveto know their reality in relation to identity, self-representation, beauty and situationsocioeconomic The methodology is based on a qualitative approach based on aethnographic study that uses 50 interviews as data collection toolsobtained through non-probabilistic sampling and a variety of documents thatThey will include photographic, auditory and video recording. From the results obtained,intends to generate a digital platform that accompanied with stories told frommultiple journalistic genres will promote the approach, perception and visibility of thegroup represented by women, older cholas and Cuencanas. Although it is aexploratory proposal towards a specific segment of society, it is also soughtextend the initiative in future research towards the empowerment of other groupsexcluded.
