Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a smart energy meter with raspberry Pi and Arduino UNO, to visualize the approximate electricity consumption of a typical home in real time, through an Android application and web server on the raspberry using google spreadsheets online, because approximate because it does not make a voltage sampling but based on defined parameters set values are used. This research shows the base architecture and the methodology used demonstrating that the data obtained with this proposed system is very similar in comparison with a system that is available on the market, especially European and North American as is the AEOTEC system that uses z wave protocols.
