The Peniel Church located in Guayaquil, Ecuador has several events of great importance for the people who attend it. However, the absence of a specific place and high visibility for publications, causes that people are not kept informed and up to date with the events that are about to take place. The objective of the research is to design and implement an information system for the Peniel church, based on the use of Raspberry Pi 3, ESP32 microcontroller, keyboard and GSM module. In addition, it will incorporate a computer application to visualize the events through the cell phone. The research was conducted in the period from October 2019 to November 2020. Its scope is descriptive, with quantitative approach and experimental design. The main scientific methods used are documentary analysis, observation, experimentation, analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive. In addition, the Do It Yourself ethic is used. Some tools and technologies used were Python as programming language, Android Studio as integrated development environment and MongoDB as database system. As a result, an information system was obtained for the Peniel church, which allows the visualization of events through the cell phone, by means of a computer application. For this purpose, a Raspberry Pi 3, an ESP32 microcontroller and a GSM module are efficiently used. Likewise, the proposal is based on the use of free hardware and software and constitutes a high performance, low cost and low consumption option.
