Abstract

An integrated DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) component was used as a test device for sending-receiving data, an electronic interface was designed based on frequency multiplexing technology with passive and active elements (incorporating XTAL crystal filters), starting the process with the injection of an analog signal which is the sum of two frequency tones, one high and one low. The process consisted of: noise filtering, separation of the high and low frequency component signals, recognition of the generated double tone, stable crystal oscillation and decoding to four-bit binary quantities. The binary quantities function as commands or data according to the order in which they are received in the decoder system. A reliability result in the order of 99.79% was achieved in the decoding of the data. Its application is very useful in wired and wireless networks.
