Abstract

For many years, our economy has depended on a manufacturing based commodity production. The constant changes in commodity prices, especially petroleum affect the general budget of the state. It is for this reason that our production model needs urgent diversification in areas of greatest technological approach. Currently in the world, there is a tendency of growth in the consumption of renewable energies, especially having to do with solar energy in order to reduce CO2 emissions to the environment and prevent global warming. To achieve confront the problem of lack of diversification in our industrial processes and at the same time take advantage of the growth trend of renewable energy, through this article has conducted a study regarding the opportunity for the Ecuador to penetrate into the solar energy industry. An analysis of the demand and offer of this type of energy is done, the manufacturing process is explained, the business relationship with leading countries in this type of energy, such as Germany, the availability of materials and especially talk the importance of technology transfer that should have our country regarding this type of energy.
