Abstract

The reuse of wastewater from slurry flushing is important for reuse in forage, grass and alfalfa production (Thöns et al., 2011; Valdecantos et al., 2002; Lara et al., 2003; Veliz et al., 2010). In the last decade, the growing concern about water scarcity in several parts of the world is a determinant for the reuse, conservation and reuse of wastewater, regularly necessary for irrigation, but at the same time risky due to the presence of contaminants such as parasites, fungi, bacteria and excess nutrients. The purpose of wastewater reuse must comply with being suitable from the agronomic, sanitary and environmental point of view.
