Commercial cinema generates a great influence in the communicational sphere of society, where the discourse it presents is a strong reference, especially in Latin American society. Identifying the roles and stereotypes of Latino women in commercial cinema not only responds to the need to point out which is the female representation in Hollywood, but to become aware that these representations influence the look of Hispanic women within Anglo-Saxon society and even within their own society. The main objective lies in the analysis and identification of these roles and stereotypes, based on their transformation in Latin American society over the last decade. In addition, see what parameters promote the change of such roles in women within their society and the construction of the stereotyped image in commercial cinema.
