Abstract

The Electric Company CENTROSUR C.A. has identified the need to update the processes and procedures of the Protection Superintendency to ensure quality, reliability, and efficiency in the distribution of electrical energy. This project focused on analyzing and redesigning current processes, aligning them with the latest technological trends and international regulations such as ISO 9001, IEC 62271, IEC 60255, and IEEE standards related to protection equipment. The procedures in the supervision and control area were evaluated, incorporating tools that improve operational efficiency and safety. Using Bizagi Modeler, the new processes were modeled, allowing for the structure of clear and efficient workflows. The redesign will improve the quality of the activities dependent on these processes, establish precise guidelines for their execution, and ensure compliance with the requirements established by the regulatory body CENACE.
