The use of technologies in the preservation and conserva-tion of heritage assets is a fundamental issue in the Ecua-dorian context, and is supported by the current regulatory framework. Ecuador, heir to an enormous cultural and natural heritage, has adopted international laws and regula-tions that encourage the use of technologies to protect and maintain its historical and cultural legacy. The chapter emphasizes the importance of knowing these regulations and establishing alliances between government institutions, academics and local communities in the preservation of Ecuadorian heritage. The need for sustainable and equita-ble management of heritage with the appropriate use of technologies is recommended, which guarantees its protec-tion and preservation for future generations.
