Abstract

This technical project is based in the plan of Computer Assisted Maintenance Management (CMMS) to the new systems of massive transportation that are in development in the country such as Subway in Quito, Airway in Guayaquil and Trolley Car in Cuenca, because they don’t have an Integrated Maintenance Management for themselves. The rail systems and subsystems with their components and how they can be managed were determined through a bibliographic study and art state about rail systems and maintenance managements systems. Four major systems were identified: rolling stock, rail infrastructure, energy supply and communication network. Web maps and flowcharts were developed with all collected information for each system to form a database to include all rail systems and their subsystems. Finally, seven modules were formed which are Rolling Stock, Rail Infrastructure, Energy Supply, Communication Network, Human Resources, Spare parts and Maintenance Management and we proceeded to make the interconnection among the modules, depending how they relate one each other.
