Abstract

This work shows the theoretical basis of a residential electrical installation such as concepts, symbology, regulations and basic information that the current professional electrical technician must know to perform any type of residential electrical installation in ECUADOR. It also shows the problems that have arisen over the years due to deteriorated infrastructure or lack of adequate design. Providing electric energy to different cities regardless of their distance, social position or economic development, is no longer a problem for the entities in charge of supplying electric energy to different parts of the country, for example: Empresa Eléctrica Quito, Empresa Eléctrica Pública de Guayaquil, Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur, among others; currently they have the necessary infrastructure to bring electric energy to any type of residence in our country.
