Abstract
Companies play an important role in the economy of a country; they are the main source of employment and wealth, and they also allow the entry of external capital that helps to dynamize the economy. The objective of this research is to determine the financial productivity and its incidence in the financial performance of the industries of the Ecuadorian manufacturing sector. The study will be carried out through the use of financial indicators of profitability and productivity, applied to the financial statements submitted by manufacturing companies in the Information Portal of the Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance. Based on the results obtained from the analysis, it is evident that 69% of the production indicators have an almost non-existent linear correlation with respect to the financial indicators of profitability, while 11% correspond to a weak negative relationship, another 11% to a weak positive relationship, 6% represent a moderate negative linear relationship, while 3% refer to a strong linear correlation.
