Abstract

A formative and methodological proposal is presented in the preparation of undergraduate students in Computer Engineering towards the development of publishable scientific articles. A process of accompaniment in the last year of university studies dabbling in research as a degree option, the objective pursued is to provide an experience in research training that allows solutions through computer science from the knowledge acquired by students during their career and in the context where they are. Twenty students, sixteen scientific articles, a process initiated in May 2018 to May 2021, this work presents factors to be considered by the tutors and the motivations of the novice researcher. A 98% satisfaction of the participants for the methodology used, and the perception of continuing with future work in a postgraduate program. The aim is to turn young people into future researchers who will provide society with creative solutions, using the technologies within their reach.
