Abstract

The organization of the Estrado Network, Ecuador chapter in 2012, was an important event in the field of academic debates on issues related to work and the teaching profession. During these years of operation, the Red Estrado in Ecuador has held four international seminars; has edited two books and is preparing to put into circulation the third as a concrete contribution for those interested in the field of teaching policies; has organized several short events in the field of its specialty; has collected a large number of papers and presentations by national and foreign educational researchers; has facilitated the presence of renowned specialists from the region to analyze and comment on the state of public education policies in their respective countries; has promoted the development of studies and research in this field; and, in short, has brought the issue of the teaching profession and work to the forefront of discussion on the basis of research and knowledge.
