Abstract

The purpose of the research work is to analyze the game and its importance within initial education, in effect it favors learning in an active way and contributes to the integral development of children, however there are teachers who have little use of the game for the learning of boys and girls in sublevel II. The type of study was qualitative, since it allowed observing the classes given by the teacher and interacting with the people involved in the development of the research. For this were carried out several bibliographic reviews of texts referring to the subject and the participant's observation in semi-structured interviews with the institution's teachers, each one had its own instrument such as the summary sheets, the field diary and the questionnaire. As a result, the students do not show interest or motivation when carrying out the activities, because the teacher does not use the game as the main source of the learning process and prefers to focus on working only on the texts. Therefore, it is concluded that the game is important and necessary to apply it within the academic field because it helps and encourages the learning process of children.
