Abstract
Faced with the evident growth of the gap between digitalization and agriculture, there is a search for optimal technologies to boost the development of this important economic activity. Therefore, this article presents a proposal for an IoT architecture for the integration of agricultural monitoring systems, through which it is possible to bundle different crop sensing networks. The general model of each of these subsystems leads to the sending of monitored data to a central server through the Internet, to later analyze and manage the information. Initially, the integration of cocoa, coffee, potato and an urban garden of different localities of Azuay, Ecuador is considered. This model seeks to involve small and medium farmers with technological solutions which, thanks to its integration, will facilitate the active participation of entities in charge of promoting agricultural production, generating a greater impact than that produced by a single particular monitoring network.
