Abstract
Urinary tract infections are usually treated with antibiotics. that can be an impediment for some people, especially women, who suffer episodesof repetition, and, consequently, they acquire drug resistance. Therefore, it is chosenphytotherapy as an alternative treatment for urinary tract disorders. As a strategy ofsearch bibliographic documents were identified in the documentary source "Science Direct",the applied descriptors were: phytotherapy, infection, urinary tract, and uropathogens. Therecords obtained were 10 after combining different keywords. No criteria usedof inclusion or exclusion for the selection of bibliographic material. plants with propertiesof interest for the treatment of urinary tract infections are; Aloysia triphylla L'Hér., Asterbakerianus Burtt Davy ex C. A.Sm., Bauhinia bowkeri Harv, Cenchrus ciliaris.
